Spooky Sangamon County

  • October 22, 2013
  • 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Edwards Place, 700 North Fourth Street

In keeping with the seasonal theme this October, the Sangamon County Historical Society invite you to a night of "Spooky Sangamon County" tales by expert story tellers.  The event will take place at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, October 22 at the Edwards Place.

Spinning tales of Sangamon County's links to the supernatural will be Garret Moffett, creator and owner of Springfield Walks, whose popular walking tours include the Lincoln Ghost Walk in Springfield; Cathy Mosley, a professional story-teller and newly-elected member of the Society's board who has been sharing folklore with audiences for more than 26 years; and Tara McAndrew McClellan author, playwright and freelance journalist whose history columns have appeared in the State Journal-Register and Illinois Times.  Her vast research into area history includes a Sangamon connection to the creator of one of the world's most fascinating Halloween happenings.

We hope to see you there!

Note: There is no need to register for this event.
